PINK ON THE PROMENADE AND TRICK-OR-TREATING
The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk hosted the first annual Pink on the Promenade in partnership with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer on October 5, 2018. The village green was illuminated with pink up lights to generate awareness for breast cancer. Guests received swag bags, enjoyed make & take crafts from L.L.Bean, tasted delicious samples from Ted’s Montana Grill & Stonewall Kitchen, tried new pink lip color from Soft Surroundings and had a chance to win prizes every 15 minutes. Donations from guests helped raise $1,000.00 for breast cancer research in Connecticut.
The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk hosted the annual trick-or-treat on October 28, 2018. The center was filled with costumed children drawing over 3,000 people. Guests were encouraged to bring non-perishable donations to support South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank and their generosity garnered 600 items and $200.00 in cash donations to stock the pantry ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. 40 stores and restaurants handed out candy at their locations and candy stops with signature Halloween treats and toys were stationed throughout the center during the two-hour event.
