Valentine’s Day Carriage Rides
The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley hosted complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides on Valentine’s Day from 5-8:30 PM. Local vendor, Bethlehem Carriage Company was hired to provide rides using two horses and a vis-a-vie carriage that seated between 4-6 people.
This very popular event brought a special ambiance to the Center. Over 70 people enjoyed rides across the property as the sky dimmed and lights throughout the Center set forth a warm evening glow. Excited guests waited in line to board the carriage while completing enter-to-win ballots for their last chance to win one of several Valentine’s Day prizes from merchants at The Promenade Shops. Complimentary refreshments and a special Snapchat Valentine’s Day filter, branded by The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley was available to shoppers.
The event was promoted on The Promenade Shop’s website, social media outlets, via e-blasts, press release and a Facebook live video (uploaded during the event). The press release garnered attention from local press, and Channel 69 News requested an on-site visit to produce a feature story around the event, highlighting the carriage rides. The story aired that day on Channel 69’s 6 o’clock evening news.
This event was surely a crowd pleaser that everyone loved! Most participants who came to enjoy the complimentary rides were families with small children from the local area. The beautiful weather that evening made for a an excellent crowd and miles of love and smiles!
